Nissan Nuvu electric car
October 18, 2008
Do you like futuristic cars? There is Nissan’s version of close future: you have driven in front of the coffeehouse, park and sit outside, before you order a drink you take electric cable charger out of the car and connect it to domestic 220v electricity network.
That is how Nissan Corporation imagines automotive near future… Nissan three-seat Nuvu concept is powered by a compact electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack. This setup gives the Nissan Nuvu concept a 77 mile (125 km) range and reaches the top speed at 75 mph (120 km/h). A quick charge from empty to full should take between 10 to 20 minutes while a full charge should take between three to four hours.

To top up the battery pack the Nissan Nuvu has unusual solar panel array, which is integrated into the panoramic glass roof. It also uses natural, organic and recycled materials within the cabin.

The car should be on sale soon after 2010. Are you interested in price? Early, to early…
