Honda hybrid cars

Honda Corporation announced that till the year 2010 they intend to sell 500.000 hybrid cars yearly. They want to become the leading producer of hybrid cars on world market, that is why they have been trying to represent hybrid technology to the wider population.

Their main goal is to low down the price of hybrid cars and be competitive with quality and cheaper then competition. They affirm that price difference between conventional and hybrid models can be only 1400 euro. Honda intends to release four new hybrid models on the global market until the year 2010. The models are Jazz, new Insight, new Civic and sporty model CRZ.

• Honda Fit (Jazz-European market) Hybrid (electric and 1,3-litres gasoline engine with less than 100g CO2/km emission and about 3 liters/100 km).
• New Insight Hybrid (4,4m family limousine with an electric and1,5-litres gasoline engine/ 115 HP will be equipped with newest hybrid technology and its forerunner is current Civic). Its price will be about 17.500 euro.
• Brand new Civic Hybrid will also be released until the year 2010 and
• Sport coupe CR-Z Hybrid, which will succeed popular CR-X model from the middle of 90’s. Price will be about 20.000 euro.
