Emergency landing at Rome's Ciampino Airport
November 10, 2008
Airplane crew of cheap flight company Ryanair had to execute the procedure of emergency landing today in the morning. During the routine landing, flock of birds hit directly into airplane’s engines.
Visitors who were on Rome’s Ciampino airport at the time of incident reported, that all passengers had been safely rescued out of the plane through emergency exits. After that, the airplane did not move away from runway.
Airport authorities immediately postponed all flights, what has caused big crush in the passenger terminal. During emergency landing, the landing system of the plane was damaged, that is why left wheels have not served its purpose. The plane leaned to the left so hard that its left engine hit the runway.
